MARK BARBER, CGR, President and Production Manager
Mark is a lifelong resident of the Ithaca area, and grew up on a
dairy farm in Danby. Mark has nearly 3 decades of construction
experience at Sunny Brook Builders doing all phases from
excavation and welding to finish trim and painting, Mark can do
anything. Mark uses not only his production experience, but his
strong people skills to support and mentor our carpenters and
maintain the high level of customer service we are known for.
Mark is our Production Manager and the President of Sunny Brook
Builders. In January 2009, Mark was awarded a Certified
Graduate Remodeler Designation from the National Association Of
Home Builders. Mark is certified in EPA lead safe work
practices and OSHA 10 safety protocols. |

DEAN SHEA, CGR, CGP, Vice President and Administrator
Dean received his Bachelor's Degree in business from SUNY
Fredonia. Dean learned the building trade in his youth working
with his father remodeling and maintaining his families
apartment buildings and home. Dean also has extensive experience
in the plumbing and heating field where he worked as a project
coordinator. Dean joined the Sunny Brook Builders team in 1999
and is the Administrator and Vice President of Sunny Brook
Builders. He currently serves as a Board Member and Immediate
Past President of the Tompkins Cortland Home Builders and
Remodelers Association. Dean is also a Board Member of Tompkins
Cortland Habitat for Humanity as well as serving on the
construction committee and directly overseeing Habitat projects
under construction. In January 2004, Dean was awarded a
Certified Graduate Remodeler Designation, in May 2009, Dean was
awarded a Certified Green Professional Designation and in
September 2011 Dean Was awarded a Certified Aging in Place
Specialist Designation from the National Association Of Home
Builders. Dean is a Building Performance Institute Certified
Building Analyst and Envelope Professional and is certified in
OSHA 10 safety protocols.

RAY BREHM, Lead Carpenter, Estimator
Ray is a lead carpenter in our remodeling division and has over
a decade of remodeling successes at Sunny Brook Builders. Ray
enjoys trim, cabinetry and wood working but is also skilled in
flashing and envelope technologies. Ray has great customer
service skills and is also performing estimating and assisting
in energy audits. Ray is taking National Association of Home
Builders course work and pursuing his Certified Graduate
Remodeler Designation as well as Building Performance Institute
certification.
Ray is certified in EPA lead safe work
practices and OSHA 10 safety protocols. While training
for carpentry at TST BOCES Ray took 1st place
regional, 1st place New York State and 6th
place National awards for his finish carpentry.

RICH HAYES, Lead Carpenter
Rich is a Lead Carpenter for Sunny Brook Builders performing New
Construction, Major Remodels and Additions.
Rich
came to us with over 2 decades of experience, highly skilled at
framing, siding, roofing, cabinet making, and interior trim.
Rich has experience in all phases of construction and has a
thorough understanding of building systems and flashing which
are critical to the integrity and longevity of the homes he
works on. Rich is certified in EPA lead safe work practices and
OSHA 10 safety protocols.

DAN
OSTDIEK, Lead Carpenter Home Maintenance
Dan is the lead carpenter in our Handyman Home Maintenance
Division and is able to do it all from rot repair to laying
tile. Dan has over 2 decades of experience is new construction,
remodeling and painting. On repair projects Dan knows how to
take it apart and restore it correctly using flashing details
that will last, he can make adjustments so things work smoothly
and he is skilled at putting in new windows, moldings and what
ever finishes you desire to upgrade and update your space. Dan
performs estimating for these small projects. Dan is certified
in EPA lead safe work practices
and OSHA 10 safety protocols.

JAMES BOWMAN, Carpenter
James is a carpenter in our remodeling division who is working
his way up to a lead carpenter position. His skills include
extensive experience in staining, painting and interior
finishing as well as flooring installation, flashing systems,
window and door installation. James is certified in EPA OSHA 10
Safety protocols.

BOB MIKELS, Carpenter
Bob is a carpenter in our Handyman Home Maintenance Division
with over 2 decades of carpentry and mechanical experience. He
has lead construction crews, run his own construction business
and performed all phases of residential construction from the
ground up. Bob has experience and training in weatherization
and running a blower door to measure infiltration. Bob served
in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged. Bob is
certified in EPA lead safe work practices and OSHA 10 safety
protocols.

CHAD WHIBLE, Carpenter
Chad is a carpenter with extensive experience in framing, decks,
pole barns, roofing, flashing systems, window and door
installation, exterior and interior trim finishes. He has
interacted with the Sunny Brook crews on multiple jobs over
several years before coming on board as an employee. Chad is a
carpenter for both new construction and remodeling projects.
Chad is certified in EPA OSHA 10 safety protocols.

Tony is an apprentice carpenter working in remodeling and new
construction. Tony has training from BOCES carpentry and Union
Local 281. Tony served in the United States Navy and was
honorably discharged. |

Dianne is our Administrative Assistant and has been serving with
